The "Chengdu 80" World Fintech Product Design & Development Competition is a premier event for university students worldwide. Participants utilize open-source technologies to design innovative fintech solutions within a set timeframe based on real-world scenarios. Held alongside the International Fintech Forum, it connects academic brilliance with industry leaders from top global institutions including Tsinghua, Peking University, UC Berkeley, NUS, and ETH Zurich.
Dr. Li serves as the Director of the Sichuan Key Laboratory of AI and Digital Finance and Associate Director of the International Joint Laboratory of Fintech. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Arizona and a Special Researcher at UC Berkeley CDAR. He has led 16 major research projects, including 4 NSFC grants and a US NSF grant. Recognized under the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents and Sichuan’s "Thousand Talents" program.
He has published 87 papers in international journals and conferences, including 18 CCF-A rank publications. His research has garnered over 3,446 citations with an H-index of 27.
Professor Zhao is the Executive Dean of the School of Finance and a Board Member of the Consortium for Data Analytics in Risk (CDAR) at UC Berkeley. She previously served as the First Secretary at the Chinese Embassy in France. A recipient of the prestigious Fulbright (USA) and Humboldt (Germany) scholarships, she was also invited by the US State Department to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) alongside 16 global leaders.
Her research focuses on international economics and asset pricing, with over 40 publications and several influential books including "Financial Crisis Relief".
Dr. Xie specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI Agents in Fintech. He has published over 10 papers in top-tier venues like KDD, CIKM, and Neurocomputing. He is a pioneer in AI-driven education, leading National and Provincial First-class courses. Under his guidance, students have secured over 10 national first-class awards in competitions like "Internet+" and the "Citibank Cup".
He holds 3 national invention patents and was awarded the Grand Prize in the first AI Application Capability Competition for Faculty.
