CHENGDU 80 RULES

MISSION

CHENGDU 80 not only provides students with opportunities to engage with leading financial technology scholars and government officials but also enhances their problem-solving and programming skills, showcasing teamwork spirit. It serves as a platform for both academia and industry to encourage and attract public attention towards the next generation of financial technology talents striving for excellence.


INTRODUCTION

CHENGDU 80 is a competition for university students to design their financial instruments prototypes using open-source technologies. Teams must create usable prototypes addressing predefined problems within 80 hours and present them to the judging panel during the showcase.


ORGANIZERS

CHENGDU 80 is organized by Southwestern University of Finance and Economics(SWUFE) and Chengdu Jiaozi Financial Holding Group. The organizers set policies and general rules, holding sole responsibility for interpreting rules and ruling on unforeseen circumstances.


TEAM COMPOSITION

Each participating team should consist of up to 6 student contestants from a single academic institution, led by a teacher or postdoctoral scholar as an advisor. The team must include both male and female members, graduate students, and at least one undergraduate student. There are no technical requirements for team members. Team mentors can contribute ideas but are prohibited from participating in the actual development process during the competition. The mentor must verify the eligibility of the contestants and serve as the official contact person for the team before and during the competition.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Eligible students must be registered and qualified students (full-time, part-time, cooperative, exchange, intern, or off-campus) at the participating institutions and willing and able to participate in Fintech 80 competition. Each student can only represent one team in the competition each year.


AWARDS

The competition offers three types of awards, which will be presented to teams by the judging panel based on the demonstration criteria. The INNOVATOR AWARD will be given to five teams, each receiving RMB 5,000. The PIONEER AWARD will be awarded to two teams, with RMB 30,000 each, and the TRAILBLAZER AWARD to one team, offering RMB 40,000.


COMPETITION PROCESS

The competition requires teams to develop a project within 80 hours, utilizing servers and computing terminals provided by the cloud platform, based on the given theme. Upon completion, teams must submit their project deliverables along with a presentation PPT within the stipulated timeframe. All teams are mandated to work independently throughout the competition.

At the end of the development phase, prototypes and presentation slides of all teams will be loaded onto a common computer designated for the presentation session. Participants must upload their competition outcomes, including PPTs and project source code, to the Amazon Competition Platform within the prescribed competition hours.

During the demonstration round, each team will have 15 minutes, following a randomly determined order, to present their project live. A panel of judges comprising experts from academia and industry will evaluate the projects based on coding, functionality, and innovation, ultimately announcing the winners. Further competition details and system configurations will be shared with participating teams.


SUBMISSIONS

All submissions must be exclusively completed by participating teams, without any assistance from third parties. The submissions must possess practical value and be free from computer viruses. Upon submission, teams retain full intellectual property rights, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, and absence of any rights infringement.Upon discovery of any violations, immediate disqualification and accountability for corresponding responsibilities will ensue.


COMPETITION SCORING

During the demonstration phase, a panel of judges will evaluate all team projects against criteria encompassing presentation quality, functionality, system architecture, user experience, design, and analytical prowess. The judges will assign scores to submitted prototypes and determine the competition winners. They hold the authority to adjudicate unforeseen events and their decisions are conclusive.


DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT

Participating teams are mandated to submit their competition outcomes, comprising PPT presentations and project source code, onto the Amazon competition platform within the prescribed timeframe, ensuring both are uploaded prior to the expiration of the designated project development period. Teams are encouraged to allocate ample time beforehand for file uploads, adhering to the detailed schedule. In case of any unforeseen submission-related issues, teams must promptly communicate with the competition organizers.


OWNERSHIP OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The organizers hereby disclaim any rights to the intellectual property developed by participants during the competition. The allocation of intellectual property rights among team members and their affiliated institutions shall adhere to the respective policies of those institutions.

“成都80”比赛不仅为学生提供与金融科技的顶尖学者和政府人员交流的机会,还将帮助学生提高解决问题的能力和编程技能,并展示团队合作精神。比赛亦为业界和学界提供一个平台,以鼓励和吸引公众关注追求卓越的下一代金融科技人才。


介绍

成都八零是一项面向高校学生利用开源技术进行金融产品设计与研发的比赛。参赛团队需要在80小时内为解决既定问题设计出可用原型,并在演示环节中向评审团队展示。


主办方

成都80由西南财经大学和成都金控集团组织。组织者为比赛制定政策和一般规则,组织者将全权负责解释规则并就不可预见的情况作出裁决。


团队结构

每个参赛团队应由来自单个学术机构的最多6名学生参赛者组成,并由一名教师或博士后学者作为顾问带领。小组必须有包括男女成员在内的研究生和至少一名本科生。对小组成员没有技术要求。团队导师可以贡献想法,但禁止在比赛过程中参与实际研发环节。指导老师必须证明参赛者的资格,并在比赛活动之前和期间作为团队的正式联络人。


资格要求

符合资格的学生必须是在参赛院校注册的合格学生(全日制学生、非全日制学生、合作学生、交换学生、实习学生或校外学生),并且愿意且有能力参加成都80比赛。每名学生在各年的比赛中只能代表一支团队参赛。


奖项

比赛会有三种奖项,每队将由评审团按演示环节的标准颁发奖项。创新奖将颁发给五个团队,奖金5000元,先锋奖将颁发给两个团队,奖金30000元,开拓者奖将颁发给一个团队,奖金40000元。


比赛过程

比赛要求团队根据给定的题目在80小时内利用云平台提供的服务器和计算机终端来完成项目开发,最后团队要在相应时间内提交项目成果与展示PPT。每个团队在比赛期间均应独立完成任务。

在开发阶段结束时,所有团队的原型和演示文稿都将被加载到用于演示文稿会议的通用计算机上。参赛团队需要在比赛规定时间内到亚马逊竞赛平台上上传比赛成果(包括PPT、项目源代码)。

在演示环节中,按照随机顺序,每个团队将有15分钟的时间现场依次介绍他们的项目。由来自学术界和行业的专业人士组成的评审团将针对一系列编码,功能性和创新型对项目进行评估,最终将宣布获奖者。更多比赛细节和系统配置将与参赛团队共享。


参赛作品

参赛作品必须由参赛队伍独立完成,不得借助任何第三方协助。参赛作品必须具有一定的实用价值并且没有计算机病毒。参赛队伍在提交作品时拥有作品的全部知识产权,不得有任何侵权行为,并遵守相关法律法规。如有违反,一经发现,立即取消资格并承担相应责任。


比赛评分

在演示环节中,所有团队的项目都将由一组评委根据一系列标准进行评估,这些标准包括演示成果的传达、功能丰富度、系统架构、用户体验、设计和分析能力。评委负责决定提交的原型的分数以及比赛的获胜者。他们有权对不可预见的事件和情况作出调整或裁决。他们的决定是最终的。


开发环境

参赛团队需要在比赛规定时间内到亚马逊竞赛平台上传比赛成果(包括PPT、项目源代码)。PPT与源代码需要在比赛项目研发的规定时间结束前上传到平台上,请参赛团队提前预留时间上传文件,相关细节看日程安排。如果参赛团队在上传成果期间遇到突发问题,请及时与比赛主办方联系。


知识产权所有权

主办方明确放弃比赛中参赛选手所创造的知识的所有权利。每个团队成员和团队所属机构之间的知识产权划分将由该机构的政策决定。
